Olivia Robinson is a graduate research assistant at CrossingPoints. Olivia was a teacher at CrossingPoints for two years before returning back to school full-time for her Ph.D. in Special Education. She received her bachelor’s degree in Collaborative Special Education and her master’s in Severe Disabilities Education from The University of Alabama. She is also highly involved in the Miracle League of Tuscaloosa and the Autism Society of Alabama Junior Board of Tuscaloosa.
While at CrossingPoints, Olivia is responsible for assisting with employment training and helping the students obtain competitive employment opportunities in the community. Olivia states that, “Working at CrossingPoints has made me into the teacher I am today. I have seen the students in this program push themselves to be the very best that they can be in employment, self-determination, and independent living. This has motivated me to receive more education and knowledge in order to help them reach their true potentials.”
