Dr. Jasmine Burns

CrossingPoints Coordinator of Employment

Dr. Jasmine Burns began as the Coordinator of Employment of the CrossingPoints Program in 2022. In the past, she served as a rehabilitation counselor for the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services and a therapist for several community mental health centers. Jasmine earned a bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville State University in Sociology and Child Development and a master’s degree from The University of Alabama in Rehabilitation Counseling. In the summer of 2022, she completed her Doctor of Behavioral Health from Arizona State University with a concentration in Management. Her research focused on improving staff documentation training to better support individuals with co-occurring physical health and behavioral health conditions. Jasmine is also the co-founder and co-host of the mental health podcast, Medicine for the Melanated and Misguided.
